The SHARE project
With the SHARE project, the Emilia-Romagna Region presents itself as an international scientific and technological research centre: in the “From Farm to Fork” virtual itinerary, the immersive videos present a series of case-studies focused on the agri-food production chain to outline the possibility of a sustainable development based on circular economy principles, the reduction of waste, and the application of new technologies to protect consumer health.
The SHARE project, which stands for Sustainability, Health and Agriculture,
represents some of the highly innovative solutions adopted in the agrifood model
of the Emilia-Romagna Region within a “farm to fork” sustainable framework.
The whole set of projects makes use of sustainable approaches from a productive, economic and environmental point of view. They apply strategies of resilience to climate change whilst preserving the quality and improving the nutritional value of the products, in full respect of the local gastronomical traditions. The projects are characterised by innovation in all processes, representing real examples of research that go beyond the state of the art in the many fields orbiting agriculture, food production and food transformation.
They aim to develop and apply solutions that will improve the quality of life of the world’s population, both through the definition and the application of more sustainable practices as well as through the identification and exploitation of innovative dietary approaches.
